The primary purposes of the New Mexico Outdoor Adventures for Singles (OAFS)
club are: to provide
opportunities for outdoor recreation for single men and women who enjoy hiking
in the
mountains, forests, deserts, lakes and waterways of the Southwest; to
appreciate, preserve and protect the scenic beauty of the outdoors; and to
promote the use of proper techniques and safety in club sponsored activities.

September is the month that the Club receives nominations
for the next OAFS year that is from November through the end of
the next October.
The current Board members do not intend to run again for
office.
That presents a problem for the Club. There has been a big
DECLINE in involvement and in taking responsibility in the
Club, leading events, and even in attending events.
SOOO… if there are no nominations at the SEPTEMBER meeting for
officers of OAFS for the upcoming year, the Board will proceed
with the process of dissolving the Club and dispersing its
assets.
This option will be discussed fully at the September meeting.
If you are interested in keeping OAFS going, come to this
meeting and bring nominations, yourself or others who have said
they would do it.
