Twenty-five years ago, a member of
the New Mexico Mountain Club, Carol Miller decided that it would be
really great to get a singles group organized to do activities
outdoors. She made calls to NMMC singles she knew at that time
and talked up her idea. The Club was born. It was quite small at that
time. After awhile, the word got out and people joined in. I don't
believe there any officers then. We simply called Carol to hear
where the next hike would be. In due time, the paper was notified
and events were listed. Of course, the rest is history.
